Cockatoo Park River Sage
DOB: 16 November 2020
(Wilga Park River Gum x Red Bluff Paprika)
Bay gelding
Sagey comes with bling! Both back legs have white feet & fetlocks, very evenly marked, as well as a very nicely formed star on his forehead.
This guy has legs that go on foreva so is going to grow into a tall boy like most of his siblings. He will make a great partner for some lucky rider & be well suited for any discipline you fancy, Working Equitation, Dressage, Western Dressage, Jumping or simply trail riding.

Sagey is named after his Dad River & his Mum Paprika. All of Paprika's foals are named after a spice or herb. Sage is of course a herb but as it turns out quite by coincidence River Sage does exist as a plant, not an edible one but none the less a plant.
Creeping/River Sage, Salvia misella
This native groundcover likes shade or part sun. Smells good when walked on. Sadly not edible. Tiny blue flowers. Doesn’t need to be mowed but handles mowing well. Favorite for greening up space under oak trees. Tolerates foot traffic and spreads to cover large areas.
